Denise Lowe

Denise Lowe is an experienced philanthropy professional with a significant background in fundraising and event management. Currently serving as the Philanthropy Officer for Annual Giving at Karmanos Cancer Institute since March 2000, Denise has successfully planned and implemented an annual giving program that generates over $1 million each year. Prior to this role, Denise held the position of Assistant Director of Events at Karmanos Cancer Institute, where management of donor receptions and events resulted in more than $2 million raised annually. Denise's career began at the Detroit Institute of Arts as a Membership Coordinator, processing significant gifts and overseeing member engagement initiatives that generated $400,000 annually. Denise holds a M.A. in Education from Eastern Michigan University and a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan-Flint.
