Maria Afanasyeva

Maria Afanasyeva has a diverse range of work experience in the software development and quality assurance fields. Maria recently joined Karta in September 2022 as a Senior QA Automation Engineer. Prior to that, they founded and served as the CEO of Just Lives Studio, a mobile game development company, where they developed iOS/Android mobile games, acted as a developer, designer, and artist, and also supervised young talents. Maria's previous roles include Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) and Maintenance Engineer (DevOps) at SBER from November 2019 to April 2022, as well as an Intern (DevOps) from July 2019 to October 2019. Maria also worked as a QA Automation Engineer at Children technopark "Vertical Takeoff" from March 2019 to May 2019. Additionally, Maria has experience as an Intern in the E-commerce Department at Промсвязьбанк in March 2018 and as an Intern QA Automation at CAE Fidesys from September 2017 to November 2017.

Maria Afanasyeva completed their Master's degree in Economics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree from the Russian Foreign Trade Academy between 2014 and 2018. Maria has also earned additional certifications, including "Automated Testing in Python: From Beginner to Pro" from Mail.ru Group in June 2021, TestDaF from TestDaF-Institut in April 2018, and IELTS Academic from IELTS Official in February 2018.
