James Petros, MD, MBA has worked in the medical field since 2011. James began their career as the Founder & CEO of Allied Pain & Spine Institute. In 2014, they took on the role of Clinical Instructor at Stanford Health Care. In 2016, they founded and became Managing Partner of Trinity Surgery Center. In 2017, they became a Consultant at Boston Scientific. Finally, in 2018, they became the Chief Medical Officer of Karuna Labs.

James Petros, MD, MBA has an extensive educational background. James obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Tulane University School of Medicine from 1999 to 2003. Following that, they completed a CPMC at the University of California, San Francisco from 2003 to 2006. James then attended Stanford University School of Medicine from 2006 to 2009, where they studied Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/Pain Management. In 2017, they completed their MBA at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. James also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Santa Clara University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including a California State Medical License, California State Qualified/Agreed Medical Evaluator, Diplomat of the American Board of Regenerative Medicine, Diplomat of Pain Medicine, Diplomat of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Former Diplomat of Internal Medicine, and Radiography & Fluoroscopy.
