John Lupfer

John Lupfer serves as General Counsel for Kast Construction since May 2022, overseeing the legal and risk management for a general contractor with revenues exceeding $1 billion, focusing on contract negotiations, litigation, insurance placement, and compliance. Prior to this role, John held positions at Suffolk Construction, including Assistant General Counsel and Director of Claims, where responsibilities involved providing legal counsel, managing outside litigation, and leading a national team of adjusters. John's legal career began at AIG, managing complex construction defect claims and coverage litigation. Early professional experiences include law clerk positions at Young and Valkenet as well as John H. Denick & Associates, and an internship at Erickson Retirement Communities. John Lupfer earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a BSBA in Finance from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
