Marcelo Díaz

Marcelo Díaz is currently the COO at Kaszek Ventures. Prior to this, they worked as Business Development at Perillon Software from January 2017 to June 2017. There, they were responsible for designing marketing materials and strategies to encourage sales appointments and remote demos. Marcelo also worked with Salesforce and HubSpot to track sales process and conversions.

Before working at Perillon Software, Marcelo Diaz was an intern at Compass Group Asset Management from June 2016 to September 2016. There, they built a corporate governance model to rank companies and assist analysts in choosing investments. Marcelo also designed a Latin American protocol for bankruptcy involving requirements, type of credits and bond holder’s rights. In addition, Marcelo Diaz researched El Salvador’s macroeconomic status and presented the results to a Senior Partner, which led to an investment. Marcelo also developed strategies for influencing companies through shareholder activism and private investment in public equity. Marcelo Diaz was also trained at Bloomberg University in equities top-down, foreign exchange and ESG solutions. Marcelo reported on Moody’s emerging markets forecasts as part of their internship responsibilities.

Marcelo Díaz has an MBA from Babson College - Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business and a Doctor en Derecho from Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga'. Marcelo also has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The British Schools, Montevideo.
