John Roney has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry. John is currently the Director of Operations at Kathairos Solutions since February 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they served as the Regional Operations Manager at Valence Natural Gas Solutions. John worked as a Sales Engineer at Ferus Natural Gas Fuels from 2013 to 2022. From 2010 to 2013, they held the position of Sales Manager at Ferus Corp. Before that, they served as the Regional Operations Manager at FracTech Services from 2006 to 2010. From 2003 to 2006, they worked as the Northern Area Operations Manager at Schlumberger. John also has experience as a District Operations Manager and Field Service Manager at Dowell Schlumberger from 1996 to 2003. John started their career as an In House Engineer at Dowell Schlumberger in 1995 and later worked as an Instructor and Field Service Manager from 1993 to 1995.

John Roney began their education journey in 1980 when they enrolled at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology). John pursued a degree in Petroleum Technology, specializing in the field of Oil & Gas. John completed their studies in 1982.

After gaining some practical experience, John decided to further enhance their knowledge and skills in the field. In 1986, they joined Montana Technological University and pursued a degree in Petroleum Engineering, specifically focusing on Drilling. John successfully completed their studies in 1988.
