Jorge Mendez Barreto

Jorge Mendez Barreto is an experienced technician and IT manager with a diverse background in physical security, technical support, and software engineering. Currently serving as Technician Physical Security II at Katy ISD since August 2022, Jorge contributes to the procurement and maintenance of security systems. Prior to that, Jorge worked as a Test Technician at FW Murphy Production Controls, where responsibilities included operating and maintaining integrated computer systems. Between November 2018 and March 2023, Jorge excelled as a Senior Repair Technician at Geek Squad, providing diagnostic and repair solutions. As an IT Manager at AZCUBA, Jorge coordinated technical training for over 150 staff members. Additional experience includes roles as a Maintenance Technician and a solid educational foundation with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas and various certifications from Houston Community College.
