Pedro Chapa

Pedro Chapa has extensive experience in human resources and education, currently serving as the Human Resources Coordinator for Operations at Katy ISD since July 2025. Prior to this role, Pedro worked at Lamar Consolidated ISD for ten years, holding positions such as Director of Human Resources Services - Operations and HR Recruiter, contributing to the district's rapid growth. Earlier in Pedro's career, roles included Bilingual Teacher Recruiter and 4th Grade Bilingual Teacher at Houston ISD, where a focus was placed on effective staffing for diverse student populations. Additionally, Pedro began a career in education with Teach For America as a Bilingual Teacher and served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, supervising aviation supply operations between 1997 and 2001. Pedro earned a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University and holds an earlier degree from the University of Saint Thomas.
