Jim Dorbish

Jim Dorbish, MBA, MS has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jim currently holds the position of Director of Finance Technology and FP&A at Kaufman Hall, a role they started in 2023. Prior to this, Jim worked at Amazon from 2018 to 2023, where they held the positions of Solutions Architect and Sr. Finance Manager. In their role as Solutions Architect, they were responsible for capital expenditure and leasing automation technologies and played a key role in system creation and reengineering.

Before their time at Amazon, Jim served as the Vice President of Finance & Merchandising at Swap.com in 2017, and as the Director Finance - Retail, E-Commerce, & Catalog at Jockey International, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Jim also worked as a Senior Manager, Global FP&A at Forever 21 from 2014 to 2015, where they led retail store financial and strategic planning.

From 2011 to 2014, Jim held multiple roles at Zappos.com, an Amazon.com company, including Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy and Merchandising, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor. In these roles, they played a vital role in integrating systems and inventory pools to drive synergy realization with parent company Amazon.com.

Earlier in their career, Jim worked at The Venetian as Manager - Performance Management and Financial Analyst from 2008 to 2011. Jim also served as a Corporate Financial Analyst at Boyd Gaming from 2007 to 2008 and as an Accounting Liaison at AEG - Concerts West from 2003 to 2006.

Throughout their career, Jim has demonstrated strong financial and strategic planning skills, program management expertise, and proficiency in systems integration and automation.

Jim Dorbish is a highly educated professional with a strong academic background. Jim holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science from Northwestern University, specializing in Data Engineering & Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, they have obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the UNLV Lee Business School, with a focus on Finance. Jim's undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Business Administration, specializing in Finance. In terms of certifications, Jim holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner credentials, both earned through Amazon Web Services (AWS).
