Michael Tym

Michael Tym, CFA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as Managing Director at Kaufman Hall since May 2023, Michael previously held the role of Managing Director and Director at Ponder & Co. from January 1998 to May 2023, where expertise included advising healthcare organizations on capital access, debt structure, capital planning, debt capacity analysis, risk assessment, and transaction execution management. Earlier in career, Michael was President of Tymstone Capital Management from 1993 to 1998, managing $10 million in global futures contracts as a Commodity Trading Advisor. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University, earned between 1982 and 1985, and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
