Lauren Wimmer

Lauren Wimmer is an experienced professional in the arts and theater industry, currently serving as Box Office Manager at Kaufman Music Center since September 2021. Prior to this role, Wimmer was a Visitor Experience Associate at The Shed (NY) from March 2019 to September 2021, and held various positions in educational and artistic organizations, including a Professorship at Carnegie Mellon University where courses on satire for the stage and advanced playwriting were taught. Wimmer's early career includes roles such as Writing Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, Guest Services Associate at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and Box Office Associate at Writers Theatre, among others. Wimmer holds a Master’s Degree in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College, complemented by a study abroad program at the British American Drama Academy.
