Samuel Marchan is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in arts leadership and music instruction. As the Artistic Director and founder of the Union City Music Project since March 2011, Samuel has focused on empowering youth through music. Concurrently, a Strings Teacher, Preparatory Ensemble Conductor, Chamber Music Coach, and Suzuki Certified violin and viola instructor at Kaufman Music Center since 2009, Samuel enriches children's musical education. With a career spanning over three decades, Samuel has served as a music researcher, artistic producer, and master instructor, notably promoting Latin American music and premiering works by over 50 composers through the Carpentier Quartet. Educational credentials include a MA in Viola Performance from New York University and multiple degrees from The Juilliard School.
