Michelle Morris-Penn has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, and assists clients with financial statements, budget preparation, internal and external audits, and facilities and fixed asset management.
She specializes in financial accounting and reporting, IT auditing, financial mergers and implementing efficient operational systems for clients in various industries, including financial services, manufacturing and hospitality.
Before joining Kaufman Rossin, Michelle was the finance and operations manager at CIPHER, where she performed full-cycle accounting services and conducted financial audits for the cybersecurity company's Miami and London offices. She also served as chief financial officer for financial institutions in Jamaica, and worked as an assistant manager at a Big Four firm for several years.
Active in the community, Michelle serves as president for the St. Andrew High Old Girls Association's South Florida chapter. The alumni association raises funds to provide support for the school, in addition to its students and teachers. Michelle is also a member of the South Florida chapters of ISACA and Head of the Florida Chapter of the ACCA USA, a member of ACCA UK, and a member overseas of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ).
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
