Dana al Sulaiman

Assistant Professor at KAUST

Dana Al Sulaiman is an Assistant Professor of Material Science & Bioengineering at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) since October 2021, focusing on the development of next-generation biosensing materials for disease biomarkers, particularly cell-free nucleic acids. Prior to this role, Dana held positions as a Postdoctoral Associate and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2019 to August 2021. Dana completed a PhD in Bioengineering at Imperial College London from 2015 to 2019, where research centered on hydrogel-based sensing platforms for circulating cell-free nucleic acid biomarkers. Earlier academic experiences include serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and an Undergraduate Researcher at Imperial College London, as well as an internship at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, specializing in signal processing for pediatric research.
