Paul Downing

Paul Downing has held various roles in the tech industry since 2010. Paul began their career as a Student Manager at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2011 and at Goldy's Gameroom in 2010. In the same year, they also held the role of Student Manager at TC Student Unions. In 2012, they joined SPS Commerce as an Associate QA Analyst and Support Center Lead, where they managed Customer Operations Analysts, identified and managed response SLA, and curated and managed Support Center material. In 2015, they moved to GovDelivery as a QA Automation Engineer, where they wrote automation test cases in Cucumber, automated over 1500 backlog test cases, and created Jenkins builds to run test suites. In 2017, they joined Granicus as a Software Engineer, where they rewrote the entire frontend of the application from Ember.js into React.js, implemented Jest testing for React applications, and served as a DEV and QA resource for datacenter failovers. In 2019, they joined TeamSnap as a Software Engineer. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Kava Labs Inc as a Senior Software Engineer II, where they build and maintains the Kava Labs webapp.

Paul Downing attended the University of Minnesota from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business and Sports Management.
