Cristina Baldim

Cristina Baldim has been with Kawa Capital since 2010, leading investment analysis and execution of private equity and credit co-investment opportunities as well as proprietary capital investments. Cristina is responsible for developing the firm’s investment process and managing the investment team. Since joining the firm, Cristina has overseen the execution of over $1 billion in invested capital across more than 80 special purpose funds and entities. Cristina also serves as a member of the Executive Committee. Cristina’s background includes over 25 years of institutional experience in asset management and investment banking. Prior to Kawa Capital, she worked at Citigroup Venture Capital International from 2001 to 2007, dedicated to private equity in the emerging markets. While at Citigroup, Cristina closed, monitored, and/or exited investments representing over $500 million in invested capital in various industries. Earlier in her career, Cristina worked in Corporate Banking and M&A for JPMorgan Chase from 1998 to 2001, for Banco Société Générale S.A. from 1997 to 1998, and for BankBoston S.A. from 1995 to 1997. Cristina has a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo, Brazil, and has served on the Board of various companies.
