Teresa J. Dumire

Teresa J. Dumire has extensive legal experience, currently serving as the Managing Member of the Morgantown office at Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC since August 2001. Teresa has played a significant role in the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, holding the position of Past President and serving on the Board of Governors from 2010 to 2022. Additionally, Teresa is an active member of the Defense Research Institute Construction Law Committee and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance. Teresa contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Lecturer at WVU College of Law from 2006 to 2014 and taught "Moot Court & Expert Witnessing" at West Virginia University Department of Forensic Identification. With foundational legal training as a Circuit Judge Law Clerk for the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals from 1999 to 2001, Teresa earned a J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 1999 and a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science from West Virginia University in 1996.
