Alexandra Lantz has a strong background in biopharmaceutical development, with experience at KBI Biopharma as both a Scientist II/Project Lead and a Scientist I. In these roles, they were responsible for managing teams, projects, and generating reports and compliance documents. Alexandra also conducted analytical and stability testing, as well as formulation work.
Prior to their work at KBI Biopharma, Alexandra worked as a Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University, where they completed their PhD in the Tom Sharkey Lab. Alexandra'sresearch focused on characterizing the physiology and metabolites of isoprene emitters, as well as analyzing the results of engineering isoprene synthase for improved activity.
Alexandra also has experience as an Intern at Michigan State University Technologies, where they screened novel technologies for commercial viability and patentability. Alexandra conducted patent searches, assessed commercial viability, and conducted background research to support technology managers' decision-making.
Additionally, they served as a Representative for the Council of Graduate Students at Michigan State University and worked as a Tutor and Student Researcher at Willamette University.
Alexandra Lantz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Chemistry (Biochemistry Track) from Willamette University in 2013. Alexandra then went on to pursue a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Michigan State University, where they completed their studies in 2019.
