Erik Sonnenberg

Erik Sonnenberg is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in automation and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as Automation Engineer II at KBI Biopharma since September 2022, Erik has previously held roles at Amgen as a Mechanical Engineer, where responsibilities included the development and automation of testing methods for prefilled autoinjector devices. Erik's career also features pivotal contributions at Cedars-Sinai, where a medical device was redesigned for clinical trials, and at the University of Washington Medical Center, focusing on robotics engineering for surgical mannequins. Erik's early experience includes biomechanical analysis and prosthetic testing at the University of Washington, following the completion of a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution and a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico School of Engineering.
