Heather Horne

Heather Horne is an experienced professional in the field of downstream process development, currently serving as Associate Director at KBI Biopharma since January 2012. Prior roles at KBI Biopharma include Principal Scientist/Group Leader, Senior Scientist, Scientist II, and Scientist I, all within the same department. Heather's educational background includes a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where research focused on sulfotransferases and polysaccharides, and a BS in Chemistry from the same institution. Additional research experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina, a brief tenure as a PhD Honorary Research Assistant at the University of Liverpool, and work as an Immunology Research Technician at Duke University Health System.
