Maria George is an accomplished professional in biotechnology with extensive experience in process engineering and technology transfer. Currently serving as MS&T Principal Engineer at KBI Biopharma since May 2022, Maria directs a team focused on validating upstream manufacturing processes for clinical programs. Previously, at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, Maria played a key role in tech transfers for both upstream and downstream processes. Maria's career also includes significant contributions at Novozymes, where achievements included optimizing fermentation workflows and drastically reducing contamination rates. With a strong educational background, including a Master's in Microbial Biotechnology from North Carolina State University, Maria has developed expertise across various sectors, enhancing bioprocessing and product development through innovative strategies and collaboration.
