Brian Applebaum

Brian Applebaum has a strong background in tax credits and incentives. Brian is currently the Director of R&D Tax Credit Services at KBKG, a position they have held since December 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager in the same department at KBKG from October 2022 to December 2023. Before joining KBKG, Brian worked at RSM US LLP as a Manager from August 2019 to October 2022, and as a Supervisor in Federal Credits and Incentives from May 2018 to July 2019. Brian also has experience as a Senior R&D Manager at Engineered Tax Services Inc. from November 2014 to May 2018, and as a Senior Associate/Team Director at alliantgroup from April 2013 to August 2014. Brian started their career as an Attorney, working at various law firms from 2011 to 2013. Brian also has technical experience as a Senior Database Engineer/Project Manager at Diamond Visionics from April 2003 to December 2006.

Brian Applebaum received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in 1996. Brian later earned a Doctor of Law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2009.
