Liz Pearce

Liz Pearce has extensive experience in aerospace and scientific research. Currently serving as the Acting Director of Space Transportation and Human Spaceflight at the Australian Space Agency since August 2019, Pearce has also held the position of Assistant Manager for Program and Capability. Prior to this, Pearce worked as a Physicist at the Defence Science and Technology Group from March 2011 to March 2020, focusing on data analysis, equipment evaluation, and simulation. Pearce began working at the Bureau of Meteorology as a Space Weather Specialist from January 2010 to February 2011, where data analysis was a key responsibility. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Data Integrity in Autonomous Vehicles from UNSW, completed between 2016 and 2021, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics from the University of Newcastle, earned from 2006 to 2009.
