Derek McCartney

Derek McCartney currently serves as the Director of Business Development at KCAS Bio, a position held since April 2024, focusing on supporting drug development through various bioanalytical and biomarker research tools. Prior to this role, Derek worked as the Business Development Manager for NorthWest at Biognosys from November 2021 to March 2024, collaborating with industry and academic partners in proteomic discovery and mass spectrometry. Derek's experience also includes multiple positions at Biodesix, Inc., including Manager, Business Development, Business Development Associate, and Analyst, from October 2018 to October 2021. Earlier roles include Professional Liability Malpractice Liaison at HUB International and Volunteer Research Assistant at CU Sports Medicine. Derek holds a Master of Science degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder, completed in 2018.
