Lauren Macina

Lauren Macina is the Director at KCIC. Lauren has worked in the industry since 2011, starting as an intern at Clearview Capital, LLC. From there, they went on to work as a Royalty Analyst at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman from October 2011 to October 2014. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring all applicable payments were accounted for by analyzing royalty source statements and cash receipts in both Excel and Access, manipulating datasets to ensure royalties were received and paid at the contractual rates, calculating unpaid royalties due based on incorrect contract rates and terms and developing royalty claim schedules, and analyzing contracts to gain a solid understanding of the payment and use agreements and limitations. Lauren also summarized audit findings for clients in a formal written report and performed pre-audit research of new clients to establish critical aspects of the job.

In their current role as Senior Manager at KCIC, Lauren is responsible for producing catalog valuations and earnings projections for various artists, actively training and supervising new analysts while demonstrating analysis and testing procedures, and regularly traveling both domestically and internationally to complete audits on-site and gather necessary documents.

Lauren Macina's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond, where they focused on Business Administration, Finance & Marketing Concentrations. Lauren went on to earn their degree from University College Dublin.
