Tom Kendrick, CM-BIM

Tom Kendrick, CM-BIM, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tom started their career at On Location Lighting Systems as a Shop Manager from June 2002 to May 2004. Tom then worked at McCabe Lumber Company as an Outbound Order Processor from July 2004 to August 2006. After that, they joined Ohio Valley Electrical Services as a Journeyman Electrician from June 2006 to September 2011 and later became a CAD/BIM Coordinator from September 2011 to November 2013. Currently, they work at KCL Engineering as an Electrical Designer since November 2013 and is also serving as an Electrical Engineer from May 2018. Throughout their career, Tom has showcased their expertise in electrical design, Revit processes, CAD, and BIM services to enhance productivity in construction projects.

Tom Kendrick, CM-BIM, began their education with an Electrical Apprenticeship at the Associated Builders and Contractors from 2006 to 2007. Tom furthered their apprenticeship at the Independent Electrical Contractors of Greater Cincinnati from 2007 to 2009. Following their apprenticeship, Kendrick pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Theatrical Design and Production at the University of Cincinnati from 1998 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Kendrick obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Tom became an AutoCAD 2012 Certified Professional and an AutoCAD 2012 Certified Associate, accredited by Autodesk, in April 2012 and February 2012 respectively. Tom also obtained the Certification of Management - Building Information Modeling from the Associated General Contractors in May 2013. Kendrick acquired various Journeyman Electrician licenses, including ones from the State of Iowa in December 2022, the State of Kentucky in January 2015, and the City of Middletown, Ohio in January 2013. Tom holds certifications in the installation of Fire Alarm Systems from the State of Ohio in April 2014 and as a Certified Infrared Thermographer from FLIR Systems in March 2010.
