Megan Segura is an experienced professional in economic development, currently serving as the Director of Special Projects at the Kansas City Area Development Council since October 2016. Previously, Megan held the position of Director of Strategic Analysis at the Lafayette Economic Development Authority from July 2013 to October 2016, where the focus was on data-driven strategies for business recruitment and retention. Earlier experience includes work as a Planner III at the Missouri Department of Economic Development, contributing to policy discussions through high-level research and cost-benefit analyses using REMI economic modeling software. Megan also served in research roles at the Lafayette Economic Development Authority from August 2007 to November 2012. Megan Segura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Louisiana State University.

The Kansas City Area Development Council is a private, nonprofit organization charged with representing the economic interests of the entire two-state, 18-county region of Greater Kansas City. Mission: Engage the world to invest in the One KC region.
