Col. James Mills

Col. James Mills has a long and varied work experience. Col. James began their career in 1997 with the USMC as a SGT/E5, where they were responsible for aerial reconnaissance and intelligence, as well as hand to hand combat and small arms weapons instruction. In 2006, they joined Charles Schwab as a High End Client Services representative, where they solved bank errors, processed wires, opened and closed accounts, and moved money. Col. James also worked directly with clients to help provide solutions for their needs. In 2015, they joined KD Capital Equipment, LLC. as the Managing Director of Commercial Assets and Senior Appraiser/Buyer/Sales. In this role, they worked with manufacturers worldwide to become the most trusted and reliable marketplace for used CNC's, and developed lifelong relationships with companies in the metalworking industry. Col. James also joined K.D. CAPITAL AUCTIONS, L.L.C., K.D. Capital Appraisals, L.L.C. as the Vice President.

Col. James Mills has a diverse educational background. Col. James attended USPAP from 2016 to 2024, where they earned a USPAP degree in Personal Property Appraisal. In 2019, they attended America’s Auction Academy and obtained an Auctioneer certification. From 1998 to 2005, they attended the USMC School of Hard Knocks, where they studied Hand to Hand Combat, Smalls Arms, Recon Intelligence, and UAV. In addition to these educational experiences, Col. Mills also holds certifications in Auctioneer from America’s Auction Academy, Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser from Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers, and USPAP 2022-2023 from Appraisals Qualifications Board.
