Colum Hawken

Colum Hawken is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in consultancy and research within defense and maritime policy. Currently serving as Vice President at Kea Consultants since September 2018, Colum has held various roles including Consultant, Senior Researcher, and Junior Researcher within the company. Prior to this, Colum was Principal Administrator at The Phoenix Think Tank, where responsibilities included managing relationships with senior ex-naval personnel and editing contributions from other writers. Colum's experience also encompasses an internship at the Hudson Institute focusing on political-military analysis and leadership positions in the University of Birmingham Jitsu Club, where strategic planning and financial management were key duties. Academically, Colum holds a Master of Arts in International Relations (Asia-Pacific Studies) and a BA (Hons) in War Studies from the University of Birmingham.
