Mitchel Coombs

Mitchel Coombs is a skilled meteorologist currently serving as the Weekday Evening Meteorologist at NBC Montana since August 2022, where responsibilities include forecasting, producing engaging weather casts, and utilizing social media during severe weather. Prior to this, Coombs held the position of Weekend Meteorologist/Multimedia Journalist, contributing to comprehensive weather coverage and engaging with the audience on various platforms. As the Owner and Freelance Photographer of Tatsumaki Photography since August 2011, Coombs manages diverse photography sessions and showcases work at art festivals. Additional experience includes a Broadcast Meteorology/Digital Media Internship at Nexstar Media Group, data entry roles, and analysis work with social media at Banjo. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Innovation as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Texas Tech University.
