Kenna Cottrill, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in various organizations. Starting in 2005 at Occidental College as the Assistant Director of Student Life, they later worked at Alt Consulting as a Student Consultant in 2008. During the same year, they also served as the Program Coordinator for Curriculum & Staff Training at Leadership Inspirations. In 2008, they became the Institute for Judaism, Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity Program Manager at Hebrew Union College. Kenna then transitioned to Chapman University as an Adjunct Faculty in 2018, and in the same year, they joined Alliant International University-Los Angeles as an Adjunct Faculty. From 2012 to 2021, Kenna held various roles at City of Hope, including Senior Manager of Enterprise Talent Development and Organization Development Consultant. Kenna then moved on to Virgin Orbit, where they held positions such as Manager of Leadership & Organizational Development and Director of People Development. Currently, they are at Keck Medicine of USC as the Director of Organization Development & Talent Management, starting in 2023.
Kenna Cottrill, Ph.D., obtained their Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University-Los Angeles in 2012. Prior to that, they earned an MS in College Student Personnel from Miami University and a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Davis. Kenna also holds various certifications in areas such as 360 Assessments, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and more.
