Matthew Starr MSN, RN, NE-BC has over 19 years of work experience in various healthcare leadership roles. Matthew is currently serving as the Director of Business, Finance, and Workforce Operations at Keck Medicine of USC since June 2020. Prior to this, Matthew worked as the Director of Nursing - Medical Surgical Services at Kaiser Permanente from May 2018. Before that, they served as the Division Director for Critical Care and Nursing Administration at The George Washington University Hospital from August 2016 to May 2018. Matthew also worked as the Senior Director for Nursing Operations at Inova Health System from November 2014 to August 2016. Furthermore, they have experience as the General Manager/Registered Nurse at VIDA Fitness & Aura Spa, Executive Director EMTC at Children's National Hospital, and Administrative Director at Indiana University Health. Matthew started their career at Riley Hospital for Children, where they held the position of Assistant Clinical Director of Operations from July 2001 to April 2012. Matthew then pursued a Masters of Science in Nursing Administration from Indiana University Indianapolis, completing the degree in 2006. In that same year, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in Executive Leadership from The Wharton School. In 2009, Matthew attained a Certificate of Completion in Lean Six Sigma Training from Moresteam University. Additionally, they are a Certified Nurse Executive, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2008.
