Miguel Avina

Miguel Avina is an experienced research and lab technician currently employed at Keck Medicine of USC as a Research Lab Technician 1 since May 2024. Prior experience includes working as a Manufacturing Associate/Lab Analyst at Amgen from September 2022 to March 2024, where responsibilities included performing pH and osmolality measurements, data analysis, and adherence to GMP protocols. Miguel also completed a Summer Research Internship at UCLA in 2022, focusing on protein production and purification. As a Graduate Research Fellow at California State University, Los Angeles, from August 2017 to July 2022, Miguel contributed to various projects, including the creation of oligonucleotides and protein analysis using techniques such as SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. Miguel holds a Master of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California State University, Los Angeles.
