Joana Silvério Marques has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector. Joana began their career at Queen's University Belfast, working in clinical research. Joana later joined Nestle S.A. as a Trainee in Quality Management.
Joana then transitioned to working as a Clinical Nutritionist at Clínica São Vicente de Paulo, where they stayed for six years. Following this, they joined Joaquim Chaves Saúde as a Clinical Nutritionist, where they implemented nutrition programs and wrote opinion articles on nutrition for the press.
Joana also gained experience as a Pharmacist at Farmácia Confiança, where they played a crucial role in implementing a pharmaceutical care program and coordinating health promotion and education. Joana later became the Deputy Technical Director, responsible for areas such as arterial hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and vaccine administration.
Currently, Joana serves as the Managing Director for Kedrion Biopharma in Portugal. Prior to this, they held the position of Sales Manager, where they developed annual sales and business plans and collaborated with global corporate functions to implement marketing activities. Joana also acted as the Technical Director & Public Affairs.

Joana Silvério Marques has a diverse education history. Joana completed a Post-Graduation Course in Quality Management at the Instituto de Ciências da Saúde - Egas Moniz (ICSEM) from 2003 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a PharmaD degree at the Egas Moniz School of Health & Science from 2004 to 2008. Prior to this, they had obtained a Master's degree in Nutrition and Food Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies from 1998 to 2003. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Joana holds certifications in Training Performance from IEFP and English from the British Council.
