Michele Sotgiu

Michele Sotgiu has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Michele currently serves as the Pharmaceutical Development Director & Project Leader at Kedrion Biopharma since December 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Pharmaceutical Development Director at Kedrion Biopharma from September 2019 to November 2022.

Before joining Kedrion Biopharma, Sotgiu held the position of Head of Drug Product Lab Development at Novartis in Austria from January 2018 to August 2019. Michele also had a significant tenure at Sandoz, where they served as Group Head, Biopharmaceuticals Drug Product from March 2016 to December 2017. Michele held various other roles at Sandoz, including Biopharmaceuticals Drug Product Development Team Leader, Lab Head, and Scientist, from 2013 to 2016.

Sotgiu started their career at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics in 2005, where they worked as the Lyophilization Platform Manager from January 2012 to January 2013, and as a Formulation expert from November 2005 to December 2011.

Michele Sotgiu obtained a PhD in Medical Biotechnologies from Università degli Studi di Siena between 2005 and 2010.
