Ammar Shareef

Ammar Shareef has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Ammar is currently the Chief Information Officer at Keenu, a position they have held since January 2024. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Information Security at Keenu from January 2021 to January 2024. Before joining Keenu, Ammar worked at Feroze1888 Mills Ltd as the Manager IT - Enterprise Services from May 2017 to April 2018. Ammar was responsible for managing systems, virtualization, and data center operations. Ammar also played a key role in migrating workloads to hyper-converged infrastructure. From 2015 to 2017, Ammar worked at Keenu as the Manager IT Infrastructure, overseeing the technical operations of the organization. Ammar was involved in the deployment of Pakistan's first acquiring network by a Fintech organization. Prior to that, Ammar worked at Summit Bank Limited as an Assistant Manager Datacenter from December 2014 to February 2015, where they played a part in revamping the bank's legacy infrastructure. Ammar began their career at CubeXS Weatherly (Pvt) Ltd. in 2013, working in various roles including System Engineer, Network Engineer, and Online Technical Support Engineer. Ammar played a crucial role in deploying CubeXS Public Cloud services and providing technical support to local and international clients. Before that, they served as the Project Incharge at Digital Network from January 2010 to December 2012. Overall, Ammar Shareef has extensive experience in IT management, security, infrastructure, and technical support in various organizations.

Ammar Shareef has a diverse education history. Ammar obtained their Master's degree in Computer Network Security from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication from the same institution from 2004 to 2009. Ammar also holds an A Levels degree in Engineering from the Beaconhouse School System, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Ammar started their educational journey by completing their IGCSE O level in Physics, Mathematics, and Biology from Al Nujoom International School - Jeddah from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Ammar has acquired several certifications in various fields, including cloud security, cybersecurity, and engineering. Ammar is a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from ISC2 and a Certified Chief Information Security Officer from EC-Council. Ammar also holds certifications from (ISC)², PeopleCert, Pakistan Engineering Council, Pakistan Football Federation, Microsoft, VMware, and ISACA, among others.
