Markus Hutzler's work experience starts in 1998 as an apprentice at Swisscom, where they worked until 2002. Markus then worked as an intern and test engineer at Siemens from August 2002 to January 2003. From September 2004 to February 2006, Hutzler was a test engineer at Hengartner Elektronik AG. Markus then joined ZHAW School of Engineering in June 2009 as an R&D assistant, specializing in embedded systems and energy harvesting. Markus worked there until December 2012.
In January 2013, Hutzler became an electronic and software engineer at spiderware gmbh, where they worked until September 2015. During this time, they gained experience in embedded systems, wireless applications, and low-power electronics.
From November 2015 to December 2017, Hutzler worked as an embedded software engineer at Intel Corporation, focusing on IoT platforms, Quark Microcontroller Software Interface (QMSI), secure bootloaders, and device simulations using Python.
Hutzler then joined Schneider Electric in January 2018 as a senior embedded designer until December 2021. During this time, they held a lead role in designing embedded systems.
In January 2022, Hutzler began working at Darwin Recruitment as an embedded Yocto Linux developer until June 2022. Presently, Hutzler works as a lead embedded developer at KEEP Labs, starting in June 2022.

Markus Hutzler started their education in 1994 at High School Halingen, where they completed their high school education. From 1998 to 2002, they attended BSF Frauenfeld, where they studied Electronic Engineering and obtained a degree in the same field. In 2003, they enrolled at The University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur and pursued a Technical Diploma, which they completed in 2005. Following that, Markus joined ZHAW School of Engineering, where they studied Electrical Engineering and graduated with a Dipl. El. Ing. FH (BSc) in 2008.
In terms of additional certifications, Markus obtained several in recent years. In August 2020, from LinkedIn, they acquired a certification in "Linux: Bash Shell and Scripts." The following month, in September 2020, they obtained certifications in "Advanced Linux: The Linux Kernel" and "Advanced Python," both through LinkedIn as well.
