Lauren McDowell

Lauren joins Songadeewin after twenty years in southern Vermont and a career dedicated to experiential education across cultures for middle and high schoolers. During this time, she led and directed summer programs focusing on community engagement, outdoor education, service, language, and culture in the Spanish-speaking world. Lauren is thrilled to become a part of the Keewaydin community. Lauren joins the Keewaydin Foundation in mid-May and will learn from Ellen Flight throughout the spring and summer. When Ellen retires in the fall of 2022, Lauren will officially take on the full scope of the leadership role as director of Songadeewin.
