Makana Shim has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, currently serving as a bartender at DLS EVENTS LLC since October 2022 and at Kei Concepts since September 2021. Previously, Makana worked as a server at Red Lobster from March 2017 to October 2021 and at IHOP from October 2012 to August 2015. Additionally, Makana held the position of Fulfillment Associate at Amazon from August 2014 to September 2016, where responsibilities included leading a team to troubleshoot packaging errors for timely shipments. Makana earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, completing studies in December 2020, and has a strong educational background that includes a high school diploma from Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Campus.
