Mark Tokola is the Vice President at KEI. Mark has a long and impressive history working in political and economic affairs for the US government. Mark started their career as Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy The Hague. Mark then became the Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. Afterward, they were the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy Ulaanbaatar. Then, they became Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy London during the Great Recession. Next, they were the Director of ITAO at the U.S. Embassy Baghdad during the Iraq War. Finally, they became Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs at the American Embassy London. In their current position as Vice President at KEI, they continue to work on improving economic and political relations between Korea and the United States.

Mark Tokola began their educational career by earning their BA in International Relations from Pomona College. Mark then pursued their LL.M. in European Law from the University of Edinburgh.
