Dylan Rodriguez has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and healthcare. Dylan is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at KēlaHealth since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Iterative Health as a Tech Lead and Machine Learning Engineer from September 2022 to March 2023, and as a Data Science Engineer from June 2021 to September 2022.

Before their role at Iterative Health, Dylan worked at the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering as a Graduate Research Assistant from June 2020 to May 2021. During this time, they led the development of a big data analysis framework in Python utilizing Spark SQL and Nvidia Rapids to identify disease and diagnostic subtypes. Additionally, they designed methods incorporating generative adversarial neural networks to preserve the privacy of data protected under HIPAA.

Prior to their graduate research assistantship, Dylan worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Purdue University from June 2018 to May 2020. In this role, they taught recitation and labs for the Introduction to Object Oriented Programming course, managed and trained undergraduate teaching assistants, and designed interdisciplinary laboratory assignments.

Dylan's early work experience includes roles at UChicago Medicine. Dylan worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator from March 2016 to June 2017, where they developed a Python module to monitor and curate rare side effect data from social networks. Dylan also developed Python APIs to automate data collection and analysis, and collaborated with Takeda Pharmaceuticals on tracking study compliance using consumer biometric sensors and mobile apps. Dylan also worked as a Research Specialist from September 2014 to March 2016 at UChicago Medicine, where they analyzed insights on access to healthcare in the United States and engineered datasets using SQL and Python. Dylan also collaborated with senior research personnel on study proposals and methodology. Additionally, they served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant from May 2011 to August 2014.

Dylan Rodriguez obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, Pre-Med from the University of Chicago, where they attended from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at Purdue University, from 2017 to 2021.
