Shonil Sumaria

Shonil Sumaria is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of Corporate & Strategic Finance at KOKO Networks since January 2023, where responsibilities include supporting the CFO and CEO with financing initiatives and building investment models. Prior to KOKO Networks, Shonil held the position of Commercial Finance Lead for Proposition Development at Gousto, achieving significant profit increases and developing strategic recommendations for product offerings. As a Founding Partner of The Oblique Life, Shonil managed finance and operational responsibilities, growing the business to generate revenue. Earlier roles include advisory positions at Outlier Ventures and entrepreneurial engagements at UCL Innovation & Enterprise. Shonil's career began at Unilever, where several impactful finance roles were undertaken, driving cost efficiencies and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Shonil holds a BSc in Economics and Geography from UCL, an MBA from thePower, and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
