Onel Lopes

Onel Lopes has extensive experience in the manufacturing and sourcing sectors, currently serving as a Sr. Sourcing Manager at Kemira since April 2007. In this role, Onel is responsible for implementing toll and contract manufacturing arrangements to optimize costs and mitigate commercial risks. Previous positions at Kemira include Plant Manager, where responsibilities included leading production teams, managing fixed costs, and developing new technologies. Prior to Kemira, Onel worked as a Lab Supervisor at Universidade Federal de Viçosa, focusing on research in the pulp and paper industry and supervising laboratory operations. Academically, Onel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a Master’s degree in Pulp & Paper Technology, and post-graduate qualifications in Production Engineering and Industrial Administration.
