April Birch

April Birch applies more than 20 years of experience in the biomanufacturing industry at Lonza BioManufacturing (GMP) and Kemp Proteins (non-GMP). She has developed and runs a variety of cell culture and protein expression platforms from research to commercial manufacture-grade. April’s skillset gained at Lonza included optimizing cell culture processes for transfer to GMP cell therapy manufacturing. At Kemp Proteins, she uses her expertise in mammalian, baculovirus, and BacMam expression systems for pre-GMP production and bioprocessing optimization. April received a BS in Biochemistry from Hood College.
