Adugna Tolosa

Adugna Tolosa has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. They began their career at MetLife in 2004, where they held various roles in pricing analysis, research analysis, and product management. In these positions, they conducted state pricing evaluations, provided rate proposals, and utilized advanced statistical analysis for predictive modeling projects. They also served as a senior consulting reserving analyst, where they performed claims valuation and supported compliance auditing processes. In 2017, they became the Director of Product Management at MetLife, responsible for a geographic market with over $270M in annual premium. They achieved significant underwriting profit and led actuarial pricing and market evaluation. They later joined MAPFRE as the VP of Advanced Analytics, where they led the development and execution of data and analytics strategies, implemented machine learning solutions, and provided actionable recommendations. Currently, Adugna Tolosa is employed as the VP of Product Management at Kemper.

Adugna Tolosa attended UWC Red Cross Nordic from 1998 to 2000 and obtained a High School Diploma with an International Baccalaureate. Following that, from 2000 to 2004, Adugna Tolosa attended Macalester College and majored in Economics and Mathematics while minoring in Statistics.
