Gene Flanagan

Gene Flanagan is an accomplished data science leader with extensive experience in operationalizing data science solutions at the enterprise level. Currently serving as AVP of Data Science Services at Kemper since February 2018, Gene leads a cross-functional team focused on deploying data science solutions using DevOps/MLOps principles while providing data engineering and automation support. Prior roles at Allstate as a Senior Data Scientist involved employing machine learning techniques to enhance marketing effectiveness. Gene's background also includes significant contributions as COO and Senior Physicist at Muons, Inc. and postdoctoral research at Purdue University, further complemented by a PhD in Physics from Michigan State University.
