Mikko Kotola

Mikko Kotola has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Mikko is currently the Head of Cloud Software and Data at Kempower, responsible for cloud software, data solutions, and charger interfaces. Before that, they were the Research and Development Manager at Kempower, overseeing the development and operation of the electric vehicle charger management system and data-based tools. Prior to Kempower, Mikko worked at Sympa HR as a Development Manager, leading a software development team, and as a Full Stack Developer, working on the development of a SaaS personnel system. Mikko has also held positions at the University of Helsinki as the Secretary of the Board of Directors and External Relations Officer, where they managed university-level fundraising and donor relations. Additionally, Mikko has entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and CEO of Kortteliauto Oy, a remote control technology-based car sharing service in Finland. Mikko has also been involved in various board positions at Hämäläisten ylioppilassäätiö, HYY Group, and Hämäläis-Osakunta.

Mikko Kotola completed their education with a Master of Science in Data science from the University of Helsinki from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the same university in 2017-2018. In 2001-2008, Mikko earned a M.Soc.Sc. degree in Practical Philosophy from the University of Helsinki. Additionally, they received training in university administration and management (KOHA-training) from the University of Tampere from 2014 to 2016.
