Pekka Snåre

Pekka Snåre has a solid background in IT management and leadership. Pekka currently serves as the Security and Privacy Lead at Kempower since 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of ICT Manager at Kempower Oyj from 2021 to 2022. Before joining Kempower, Pekka worked at UPM-Kymmene Oyj for several years, where they held various managerial positions, including Manager, IT Service Owner, and Manager, IT Infrastructure Integration. Pekka also served as the Architecture Lead and IT Manager, MDS Technology at UPM-Kymmene. Pekka has extensive experience in managing IT services, ensuring their delivery, and overseeing IT infrastructure and architecture processes.

Pekka Snåre completed their Master of Engineering, Regenerative Leadership degree at Lahti University of Applied Sciences from 2020 to 2024. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechatronics from the same university between 1992 and 1996. They also pursued studies in Mathematics and Information Technology at the University of Helsinki from 1988 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Pekka Snåre has obtained various certifications, such as Learning GDPR and Understanding and Prioritizing Data Privacy from LinkedIn, IT Management Professional (CIMP) and IT Standard Professional (CISP) from ICT Standard Forum, and ITIL Foundation from Exin.
