Maarten Schut is a partner and attorney at law specializing in intellectual property at Kennedy Van der Laan, an independent law firm in Amsterdam, since November 2000. In addition to this role, Schut has served as an attorney at law for the Court of Appeal Arnhem-Leeuwarden since January 2013 and was a deputy judge at the District Court of Haarlem from September 1996 to December 2000. Schut began legal career as a trainee judge at NCRV from September 1995 to August 1996. Educational qualifications include an LL.M in European Law from the University of Cambridge (1993-1994) and degrees in law and liberal arts from Utrecht University (1986-1993). Schut completed further legal training at Grotius Academy from 2003 to 2004.
