Casey Tanner

Gary Tanner is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in editorial content, public relations, and journalism. Currently, as the Assistant Director for Editorial Content at Kennesaw State University, Gary leads a team that shares impactful stories from a rapidly growing university community and serves as a content strategist for Kennesaw State University Magazine. Previous roles include Managing Editor for a digital and print news operation in Cherokee County, freelance writer and editor, and Communications Specialist at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, among others. Education includes a BS in Political Science from Georgia Southern University and an AS in Journalism from South Georgia State College.
